WSBN is a very supportive group of ladies, some of whom are struggling to run businesses out of our homes or small shops and cope with children, domestic interruptions, etc. We enjoy talking to other, successful ladies who have at one time, been struggling also, to try to learn more from their experiences and/or lend support if we can. Our mandate is to support each other and help, where we can, anyone who is wanting information about starting, keeping or expanding their businesses.

Your talk need not be too formal; informal and light seems to work better with this group. In terms of time, we usually have the main speaker come on at about 8:00 PM with a 20-minute presentation, we then leave enough time for questions from the audience and our closings for the evening. Mostly, we would like to hear why you started your business; how you chose the location, working with a partner, (if applicable to your busness); how you split up the tasks, etc.; how you explain your success and how long your goal is to continue with this business. Do you have any ideas about other businesses since you began this one?

The goal for our speakers is to avoid advertising their own business in their talk but, rather, to speak about the whys and wherefores of how the business was established, how it operates and plans for the future. In doing this, people will want to visit the speakers' business and take part in their success!
